Local telecoms provider Convergence Communications has been presented with two prestigious industry awards at the recent NEC National Dealer Conference at the Belton Woods De Vere Hotel in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Convergence picked up awards for Best New Dealer 07/08 and Excellent Customer Service 07/08 and were the only UK dealer to receive an award for customer service. Both awards were presented by Keiji Kuno, Senior Manager of the International Sales Division for the NEC Infrontia Corporation.

Oliver Shevki and Phillip Clayton-Smith, two of the company’s directors were present to receive the awards. Phillip who heads up the Technical Division at Convergence said "I am absolutely thrilled that Convergence has won both of these awards. It’s testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team".

Andrew Cooper, UK Sales Director for NEC commented "I am delighted to recognise the achievements of Convergence Communications Ltd with their richly desired Best Newcomer and Customer Service awards. These awards are not achieved by volume of sales alone but more so in recognition to total commitment to both pre and post sales customer support.
Whilst investing in their own first class support service, Convergence continues to be assured that in turn this is backed up by the considerable technical resource of NECI situated both in the UK and Japan.

Oliver commented "It is fantastic for Convergence to be recognised by NEC - these prestigious awards are recognition of the company’s progress over the past 12 months. The whole team has worked tirelessly and its accolades like these which provide external validation".

Following the launch of the new NEC 8000 Series at the conference, Convergence has added this new product to their existing portfolio, enhancing established systems such the NEC Aspire and XN120. Oliver stated
“NEC has recognised the need to evolve without compromising their existing market leading systems. The next 12 months will prove to be very exciting for us.”
